Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing an optical film dope, capable of suppressing the aggregation of rubber particles and providing an optical film having sufficient toughness without spoiling transparency.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an optical film dope comprises the steps of: dispersing rubber particles including a crosslinked polymer having the degree of crosslinking of 0.25-4 mass% in a first solvent to prepare a rubber particle dispersion; and mixing the rubber particle dispersion, a methacrylic resin and a second solvent to prepare a dope. At least one of the first solvent and the second solvent includes water, and the water content is 0.5-3 mass% relative to the solvent constituting the dope.SELECTED DRAWING: None
