To provide a method for producing an emulsion which contains encapsulated particles, the emulsion being prevented from varying in viscosity with time, making the dispersibility of the encapsulated particles very stable, and being easily discharged from a container.
The method for producing the emulsion which contains capsulated particles includes the following processes: a process (1) in which an oil phase, which contains a cationic surfactant and a nonionic surfactant, is mixed, under the following mixing conditions (a), with an aqueous phase, which contains water, by using a line mixer having a stirring blade to gain a first emulsion; a process (2) in which the first emulsion gained in the process (1) is mixed under the following mixing conditions (b) by means of a mixing device having a stirring blade to gain a second emulsion; and a process (3) in which the second emulsion gained in the process (2) is mixed with the capsulated particles. The mixing conditions (a) are described as follows: A is at least 0.5 and less than 3, and A/B is 15-500, wherein A (m/s) represents the peripheral velocity of the front end of the stirring blade, and B (m/s) represents the linear velocity of the oil phase and aqueous phase which pass through the stirring blade. The mixing conditions (b) are described as follows: C is 3-10, wherein C (m/s) represents the peripheral velocity of the front end of the stirring blade.
