PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an epoxy compound which enables reuse of a catalyst while using a tungsten peroxide compound as a catalyst, and can be preferably applied to an industrial production process.SOLUTION: A method for producing an epoxy compound includes: an epoxidization step of obtaining a reaction mixture containing an epoxy compound by an epoxidization reaction of an olefin compound which uses a tungsten peroxide compound as a catalyst and hydrogen peroxide as an oxidant; a solvent removable step of removing a solvent from the reaction mixture through atmospheric distillation or reduced-pressure distillation; an extraction step of adding an extraction solvent to the reaction mixture through the solvent removable step, and obtaining an extract containing the epoxy compound and the extraction solvent and an extraction residue containing the catalyst; a separation step of separating the epoxy compound from the extract through the distillation; and a reuse step of reusing in the epoxidization step, the catalyst contained in the extraction residue.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
