Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a fuel, with which a fuel is produced with a discharge amount of carbon dioxide smaller than that of a fuel composed of a liquid hydrocarbon alone by extracting ethanol in a liquid hydrocarbon such as heavy oil, etc., by using a liquid-liquid extraction means having a low energy cost from an aqueous solution of ethanol obtained by a fermentation method.
The method for producing an ethanol-containing fuel comprising bringing an aqueous solution of ethanol obtained by a fermentation method into contact with a liquid hydrocarbon by a countercurrent multistage liquid-liquid extraction method to extract ethanol in the liquid hydrocarbon.
