Abstract:

To provide a method for producing ethanol in which a supply cost of essential nutrients and required trace elements of fermentation microorganisms is low by using vegetable wastes as a raw material of biomass ethanol.

A saccharified product of a vegetable polysaccharide and a microalgae collapsed product in which protoplasm is released to the outside of a cell are prepared to produce ethanol by ethanol-fermenting the saccharified product using a microorganism in the presence of the microalgae collapsed product. As a supply resource of the essential nutrients and required trace elements of the microorganism, the protoplasm released from the microalgae collapsed product is used.
