Abstract:

To provide a method for producing an ethylene copolymer resin, which is a high-pressure polymerization process to produce the ethylene copolymer resin and is excellently characterized by stably producing the ethylene copolymer resin which is reduced in formation of fisheyes.

The method for producing the ethylene copolymer resin is the high-pressure polymerization process to produce the ethylene copolymer resin and is characterized as follows: the temperature of a molten resin at a heat exchanger placed at the outlet of a high-pressure polymerization reactor retains at least 230°C and a fine-meshed filter is attached to a palletizing extruder which palletizes the molten resin. Preferable embodiments are as follows: the case wherein the linear velocity of a mixed fluid of gas with liquid at inside piping of the heat exchanger retains 40-80 m/sec, the case wherein the filter comprises a metal mesh with at least 200 mesh, the case wherein the filter comprises a metallic fiber sintered filter having at least 50 μm of filtration precision, etc.
