Abstract:

To provide a method for producing an extract of astaxanthin-containing yeast belonging to the genus Phaffia, capable of being widely used in such fields as food, health food, supplements, nutrients, feed, medicines and cosmetics.

Lipid is added to obtain the extract of the astaxanthin-containing yeast belonging to the genus Phaffia from the yeast belonging to the genus Phaffia, so that the recovery rate of astaxanthin in the extract of the astaxanthin-containing yeast belonging to the genus Phaffia can be increased, while an organic solvent remaining in the extract can be easily removed, and the thermal stability of astaxanthin can be improved, etc.
