Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a flat yarn composed of a thermoplastic synthetic resin having excellent qualities in space and energy savings.
This method for producing a flat yarn composed of a thermoplastic synthetic resin is characterized in that a traveling yarn is irradiated with a laser beam under conditions of 5≤χin≤25, 0.85≤vout/vin≤1.15, 400≤vout and 5≤χout-χin (χin is crystallinity [%] of fiber immediately before laser heat treatment; χout is crystallinity [%] of fiber immediately after laser heat treatment; vin is yarn speed [m/min] immediately before laser heat treatment; vout is yarn speed [m/min] immediately after laser heat treatment) and heat-treated.
