Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a versatile method for producing a fluorinated sulfide by substituting the hydrogen atom of a wide variety of sulfides with fluorine atom in the presence of IF5.
SOLUTION: The method for the production of a fluorinated sulfide comprises the reaction of a sulfide having at least one hydrogen atom and expressed by formula (1) (X, X1, X2, Y, R and (n) are defined in the Claim 1 of the specification) in the presence of IF5 to substitute at least one hydrogen atom with fluorine atom.
