Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a fluorine-containing polymer latex having environmental degradability and remarkably reducing the amount of a residual emulsifier.

A fluorine-containing polymer latex is produced by emulsion polymerization of a fluorine-containing monomer by using a perfluoroalkyl alkylphosphonate expressed by general formula CnF2n+1CmH2mP(O)(OM1)(OM2) as an emulsifier (wherein M1 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal or an ammonium group; M2 represents an alkali metal or an ammonium salt; n represents an integer of 2 to 6; and m represents an integer of 1 to 3).
