Abstract:
To provide a method that can produce, at good yields, a fluorine-containing vinyl ether which can be raw materials for fluorine-based polymer electrolytes such diaphragms for brine electrolysis.SOLUTION: A method for producing a fluorine-containing vinyl ether represented by general formula (3), includes the step in which a fluorine-containing 2-alkoxy propionic acid derivative represented by general formula (1) is caused to contact and mix with a silanol compound represented by general formula (2): R1R2R3Si(OM') (where M' is an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal, R1-R3 independently represent an optionally substituted C1-10 hydrocarbon group, or OM'' (M'' is an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal)).SELECTED DRAWING: None
