Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a gallium phthalocyanine compound having no dispersion by synthetic lots, exhibiting excellent electrophotographic properties and obtainable at high yield, an electrophotographic photoreceptor containing a compound which have been obtained by the method, and a process cartridge and an electrophotographic apparatus having the electrophotographic photoreceptor.

The method for producing a gallium phthalocyanine compound comprising reacting a gallium compound with a compound which forms a phthalocyanine ring. In the method, a metal ammonium salt is used as a catalyst. The electrophotographic photoreceptor containing a compound which have been obtained by the method. The process cartridge and electrophotographic apparatus having the electrophotographic photoreceptor.
