Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the method for producing the gelatin resin, capable of intentionally controlling the various properties of the gelatin resin, such as heat resistance, water resistance and decomposability, on the production of the gelatin resin.
CONSTITUTION: A gelatin aqueous solution is cooled to form a gelatin gel (a gelation process 1). The formed gelatin gel is dried to obtain the dry product (a drying process 1a). After an atmosphere filled with the vapor of formaldehyde is formed in a closed container, the dried product is received and left in the closed container to expose the dried product to vapor of the formaldehyde for 1-9hrs (an aldehyde vapor exposure process 2). Thus, the gelatin resin exposed to the vapor of the formaldehyde is produced. Therefore, the gelatin resin controlled in the various properties can be produced by changing e.g. the exposure time of the formaldehyde vapor exposed to the dried product.
