Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a graphite fiber having elastic modulus excellent in high degree of processability and having high quality.
This method for producing the graphite fiber is to apply a compound having ≥30 wt.% rate of heating residue in an inert gas atmosphere at 500°C to an untreated fiber and subsequently treat the fiber to be graphitized.
