Abstract:
To provide a method for Grignard reagent production which enables use of an aromatic chloride, particularly chlorobenzene compounds and magnesium by improving the low reactivity of the chloride, shortening the reaction time and also improving the yield of the reagent.
In the process for production of the Grignard reagent, an organic dihalide is used for magnesium activation and also tetrahydropyran is used as a solvent.
