Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a hexane solvent in which the dry point is controlled to a desired temperature, easily and with high yield.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing hexane solvent, including: a first step in which a distillate fraction containing a hydrocarbon of 6 carbon atoms by 90 to 100 mass% is obtained by subjecting a raw material oil containing a hydrocarbon of 5 to 7 carbon atoms obtained in a petroleum refinery process as a main component to distillation-processing to remove volatile components and heavy components; a second step in which a precision distillation oil in which the content ratio of a hydrocarbon component having a boiling point equal to or higher than the boiling point of 2-methylhexane is controlled to 0.20 mass% or less is obtained by further subjecting the distillation fraction obtained in the first step to precision distillation; and a third step in which the precision distillation oil is subjected to nucleus hydrogenation using an aromatic nucleus hydrogenation catalyst.SELECTED DRAWING: None
