To achieve uniform, firm adhesion between an inner resin tube and a reinforcing layer in a high pressure resin hose and to provide a method for producing the high pressure resin hose which does not cause environmental pollution by a volatile organic solvent and is good in efficiency.
The method for producing the high pressure resin hose having the inner resin tube and the reinforcing layer formed by knitting fibers for reinforcing the inner resin tube includes a process for softening the outer surface of the inner tube containing a thermoplastic resin, a process for forming the reinforcing layer on the surface of the softened thermoplastic resin, and a process for welding the inner tube and the reinforcing layer together by re-hardening the thermoplastic resin. The softening of the outer surface of the inner tube can be carried out by melting the surface by heating the inner tube. In another mode, by applying an organic solvent which can dissolve the thermoplastic resin on the surface of the inner tube, only the outer surface of the inner tube is dissolved/softened.
