Abstract:
To provide a method for industrially producing a sulfite compound, by which the sulfite compound useful as a synthetic intermediate or a raw material for medicine technical products, agrochemical technical products, electronic materials, and the like, can be provided in a high purity and in a high yield.
This method for producing the sulfite compound by the reaction of an alcohol compound with a thionyl halide is characterized by adding an alcohol compound to the thionyl halide, and a use thereof. Therein, the high purity sulfite compound having an organic halogen compound content of ≤1,000 ppm can be produced.
