Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a hydrophilic polymer prevented from dusting in the form of powder that is obtained by cutting/shredding a gelatinized polymerized product of a hydrophilic monomer followed by drying, and also prevented from aggravating the powder's fluidity.
The method for producing the hydrophilic polymer comprises incorporating a hydrophilic silicone in polymeric powder that is obtained by cutting/shredding a gelatinized polymerized product of a hydrophilic monomer followed by drying. In this process, it is preferable that the hydrophilic silicone be incorporated at 0.001-5.0 mass% in the polymeric powder.
