Abstract:
A method capable of efficiently producing an anion-modified cellulose nanofiber dispersion using an organic solvent as a dispersion medium, wherein after adding a hydrophobizing agent and a water-soluble organic solvent to an anion-modified cellulose dispersion to produce hydrophobized anion-modified cellulose, the water-soluble organic solvent and dispersion medium are removed to produce a dry solid having a solids concentration of more than 90 mass%; then, the dry solid is mixed with an organic solvent to fibrillate the hydrophobized anion-modified cellulose in the organic solvent, and a hydrophobized anion-modified cellulose nanofiber dispersion using an organic solvent as the dispersion medium is produced.
