To provide a method for producing an IC microchip-included sheet improved in surface smoothness, imparted with printability and enhanced in falcification-preventive effect without affecting included IC microchips.
The method for producing the IC microchip-included sheet comprises conducting a calendering treatment, using elastic rolls under a calender nip pressure of less than 200 kg/cm, of an IC microchip-included sheet inserted with IC microchip-included tapes with part or the all of IC microchips 10 embedded in recessed parts provided on tapes 20. In this method, each of the IC microchips 10 is less than 5 mm in side length, the IC microchip-included tapes are inserted in a papermaking operation, wherein the papermaking operation is of multilayer papermaking system in which part or the all of the inserting positions for the to-be-inserted layers is(are) out of adhesion of the sheet material.
