Calcium compound capable of depositing calcium carbonate is added into a slurry of composite particles composed of titanium dioxide- calcium carbonate to carry out the carbonization reaction and calcium carbonate is deposited on the surface of the calcium carbonate. By this deposition, the titanium dioxide is more firmly fixed on the surface of the calcium carbonate.
