Title:
METHOD OF PRODUCING IN-ICE FLOWER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06123531
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain in-ice flowers with natural flowers contained in air bubble- free and transparent ice by setting the natural flowers in distilled water in a container after pouring the distilled water into the container, and forming a specific temperature gradient from the bottom of the container toward the upper part thereof.

CONSTITUTION: Distilled water 3 is poured into a container 2 from the upper part thereof, and natural flowers are set in the water. The container is so designed as to have a temperature gradient which shows -1 to -8°C at the bottom of the container and 0 to 1°C at the upper part thereof, and the distilled water 3 is stirred by a stirrer 1 at a speed of, for example, 60 times per minute. As a result, the distilled water 3 is frozen from the bottom of the container toward the upper part thereof, and air bubbles are not trapped in the container 2. Further, the air bubbles, which tend to be arrested by ice, are repelled to be dissipated in the water and, at the same time, ununiformity in the process of forming ice is prevented. Thus, the in-ice flowers surrounded by air bubble- free and transparent ice can be finally produced.
