To provide a method for producing an in-mold labelled biaxially oriented blow-molded article wherein an air layer or air bubbles between a label for in-mold label molding and a molding resin are excluded, the label for the in-mold label molding used in the method, and an in-mold labelled molded article wherein the air layer or air bubbles between the label for the in-mold label molding and the molding resin are excluded.
The label for the in-mold label molding of which the surface is made matte or uneven on the contact side with a preform is fitted to the wall of a mold, and the preform heated at a temperature suitable for orientation is expanded in the blow mold and brought into close contact with the wall surface, to which the label is applied, of the mold to be biaxially oriented. Simultaneously, the label for the in-mold label molding is bonded to the biaxially oriented molded preform under heating.
