Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a heat insulating material with which the insulating material can be produced at a low cost by facilitating mass-production while reducing the restriction related to raw materials for the heat insulating material.
After dry up by distillation a formed body of combustible waste selected from general waste and/or industrial waste to make a carbide, in this carbide, the product having a grain size not less than a prescribed grain diameter, is supplied as the heat insulating material for molten metal.
