To provide a method for producing insulation which is excellent in dispersibility of an aramid fiber, in a physical property, and in heat resistance even when an amount of the aramid fiber is increased, and which has low density and is light weight.
In a method for producing insulation 12 including a solid rubber, a liquid rubber, and a reinforcing fiber, the solid rubber is a vulcanizable solid rubber, the liquid rubber is a liquid or starch sirup-shaped rubber at room temperature. In a preliminary kneading step (S2a), a first kneaded rubber is generated by kneading the solid rubber, the reinforcing fiber, and the liquid rubber, and in a main kneading step (S2b), a second kneaded rubber is generated by kneading the solid rubber and the first kneaded rubber.
