Abstract:
To provide a method for producing an isocyanate composition which can obtain an organic isocyanate having a carbodiimide group and/or a urethoneimine group having a lower color number and excellent storage stability, suppresses damage to facilities and has excellent workability.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing an isocyanate compound which comprises: adding a phosphorene-based catalyst (B) to an organic isocyanate (A) to carbodiimidate and/or uretoniminate an isocyanate group of the organic isocyanate (A); and adding a terminator (C) to stop the carbodiimidation and/or uretonimination, wherein the terminator (C) contains a sulfonic acid anhydride and the amount added of the sulfonic acid anhydride is 10 or more times moles and 40 or less times moles relative to the amount added of the phosphorene-based catalyst (B).SELECTED DRAWING: None
