Abstract:
To provide a method for producing an isocyanate composition which can obtain an organic isocyanate having a carbodiimide group and/or a urethoneimine group having a lower color number and suppressed in the increase of the color number with time, suppresses damage to facilities and has excellent workability, and to provide an isocyanate composition.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing an isocyanate compound which comprises: adding a phosphorene-based catalyst (B) to an organic isocyanate (A) to carbodiimidate and/or uretoniminate an isocyanate group of the organic isocyanate (A); and adding a terminator (C) to stop the carbodiimidation and/or uretonimination, wherein the terminator (C) contains an alkyl sulfonic acid having 5 or less carbon atoms.SELECTED DRAWING: None
