To provide a method for producing an ITO large molding in which strength of the molding on releasing from a mold can be improved, and cracks on initial drying can be suppressed as well, and which is stably dryable.
Raw material powder obtained by adding tin oxide to indium oxide, water, an organic dispersant, and an acrylic emulsion binder having a viscosity of 1 to 50 dPa.s (/25°C) in 0.5 to 5 mass% of the raw material powder are pulverized and mixed to obtain slurry. This slurry is subjected to molding. The resin grain diameter of the acrylic emulsion binder is preferably ≤0.1 μm, and the glass transition point of the acrylic emulsion binder is preferably ≤27°C. A methanol 60 vol.% solution or an ethanol 60 vol.% solution is preferably added to the acrylic emulsion binder in 5 to 20 mass% to the acrylic emulsion binder.
