Abstract:
To provide a highly efficient method for producing a 2-alkyl-2-cyclopentenone, and to provide a method for producing a jasmonic acid ester derivative using the same.
The compound (2) is obtained by reacting a compound (3) with a catalyst comprising an amine and a hydrogen halide to perform dehydration/isomerization reaction. A jasmonic acid ester derivative (5) is obtained by reacting the compound (2) with a malonic diester and then reacting the reaction product with water. Wherein, R1 and R2 are H, a 1-8C alkyl or the like; and R3 is a 1-3C alkyl.
