Abstract:
A method for producing lithium carbonate includes: a dissolution step of dissolving crude lithium carbonate in a liquid while feeding a carbon dioxide gas; a decarbonization step of heating a lithium dissolved solution obtained in the dissolution step to release carbonic acid, wherein the dissolution step comprises storing the liquid mixed with the crude lithium carbonate in a reaction vessel, and agitating the liquid using an agitator, and wherein the agitator includes: a cylindrical body arranged upright in the reaction vessel; a plurality of rotary blades placed at one end side of the cylindrical body, the rotary blades driven to rotate around a rotation axis, and extending in a radial direction; a plurality of fixed blades fixed and arranged at the one end side of the cylinder body on a radially outer side of the rotary blades, each of the fixed blades extending in the radial direction; and a gas feed pipe for feeding a gas toward the rotary blades and the fixed blades.
