To provide a method of producing a Maloideae plant leaf extract highly containing Phloridzin.
The method of producing the Maloideae plant leaf extract containing not less than 25 mass% in terms of dry mass of Phloridzin includes: a process of obtaining a crude extracted liquid by extracting Maloideae plant leaves with an aqueous solution containing 60-100 vol.% of ethanol; a process of obtaining a processed liquid thickened in Phloridzin concentration by treating the obtained crude extracted liquid with 10-20 mass% of an activated carbon to dried matter of Maloideae plant leaves; a process of obtaining condensed matter by drying the processed liquid, and adding 100-200 pts.mass of water and organic solvent to the dried matter, mixing, and recovering the organic layer; and a process of recovering the precipitate by separating the precipitate in the condensed liquid obtained by condensation.
