Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for producing a mercapto compound.
SOLUTION: This method for producing the mercapto compound represented by the formula (II) HS-CH2-S-R (wherein, R may be the same or different and denotes acetyl group, propionitrile group, butyryl group, isobutyryl group, valeryl group, isovaleryl group, hexanyl group, benzoyl group or phenylacetyl group) comprises producing the mercapto compound while distilling off the mercapto compound to the outside of the reaction system.
