Abstract:
To provide a novel method of synthesizing mercaptoamide-carboxylic acid without a problem of by-products.
The objective mercaptoamidecarboxylic acid is obtained by hydrolyzing a sulfidoamidecarboxylic acid represented by the following general formula I (wherein CnHm and CiHj mean hydrocarbon chain; n is an integer of ≥2, m is an integer of ≥2 and ≤2, i is an integer of >0, j is 0-(2i+2-k-z), k is an integer of ≥1, z is an integer of ≥1; R and R' are independently H or a group of 1 or more carbon atoms). In an embodiment, N-mercaptoethylphthalamide acid is synthesized.
