Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING METALLIC FINE POWDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2007211267
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a fine powder made from an easily oxidizable metal such as steel, which can reliably and efficiently reduce an oxygen content in a powder after having been water-atomized and classified.

The method for producing the fine powder includes a powder-collecting step of reducing the oxygen content in a metallic fine powder p4 into 0.3 wt.% or less for instance, which has been settled in a lower part of settling tanks H3 and H4, by charging water (W), the metallic fine powder p4 that has been water-atomized and classified into an average particle diameter of 10 μm or smaller, and an aqueous solution (Wa) that contains a rust inhibitor, into the settling tanks H3 and H4, and holding them in the tanks, wherein the rust inhibitor is a powder that contains aliphatic amine of 30 to 50 vol.%; and the aqueous solution (Wa) includes the rust inhibitor of 0.02 to 0.1 vol.% added into the water.
