To provide a method for producing a modified natural rubber latex having sufficiently satisfiable mechanical stability without diminishing the properties inherent in natural rubber latex including rubber elasticity and autohesion (pressure-sensitive adhesive force).
The method for producing the modified natural rubber latex comprises modifying natural rubber with a modifying compound in the presence of a polymerization initiator comprising an organic peroxide and an amine-based reducing agent. In this method, 5-25 pts.mass of the modifying compound and 0.44 pt.mass or more of the polymerization initiator are used based on 100 pts.mass of the natural rubber, wherein the mass of the polymerization initiator is 0.0038-fold or greater based on the total mass of the natural rubber and the modifying compound, the mass of the organic peroxide is 0.01-fold or greater based on the mass of the modifying compound, and the mass of the organic peroxide is 3.5-fold or less based on the mass of the amine-based reducing agent.
