To provide an in vitro nail trichophytic model high in reproducibility and separated from a living body.
The method for producing the nail trichophytic model comprises: sowing a preliminarily cultured, quantifiable fungus or its living body-constituting portion on the nail floor side of a non-infected nail picked up from an animal including human, and then culturing the sowed product in low temperature high humidity conditions for a long period without contacting with an aqueous carrier. The preliminarily cultured, quantifiable fungus or its living body-constituting portion is preferably a dispersion of a conidiospore, and the low temperature high humidity conditions preferably exit in a temperature range of 25-30°C and a humidity range of 90-100%.
