PURPOSE: To produce new stock from worn tires, the processing of which racks a user's brains, by a method wherein the mixture of pulverized worn tires, powdered dry wood and powdered sulfur is compression-molded under heat.
CONSTITUTION: Worn tires are ground with a grinder into the size of several mm or less. Dry wood is ground into the size of several mm or less. The fine powder of worn tire and wood flour are mixed at the ratio of about 8:2 and then added by 20-30% of sulfur powder so as to obtain new stock by being compression-molded at the elevated temperature of 80-100°C. The obtained new stock has the hardness, which is equal to or higher than that of conventional plastic, withstands against impact, is impermeable to water and hard to corrosion.
