To provide a method for producing an optical element, with which occurrence of non-transcribed part due to existence of residual space at the interface between a plate-like forming raw material and a concave molding mold is reduced, or eliminated particularly in case of molding a lens array of optical elements, to provide a production apparatus for obtaining a lens array of the optical elements using a plate-like glass material, a method for producing an optical element using the, a molding material, a premolding mold.
This method for producing an optical element comprises molding a preliminary molded product having a convex shape with a pseudo-mirror face or pseudo-cylindrical face to avoid the residual space for a plate-like glass material by providing a preheating part Q1 and a premolding part Q2 in the course of a continuous production process. The lens array of the optical elements is obtained by regular molding of the premolded product at a regular molding part Q3.
