Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING OPTICALLY ACTIVE 1-PHENYLETHYLAMINES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004051565
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a method for producing optically active 1-phenylethylamines by resolving 1-phenylethylamines with a specific reagent for optical resolution.

The 1-phenylethylamines represented by general formula (1) (wherein, R1, R2 and R3 are each hydrogen, a halogen, a lower alkoxy group, a lower haloalkoxy group, a lower alkyl group, a lower haloalkyl group or a nitro group) is reacted with an optically active carboxylic acids represented by general formula (2) (wherein, * represents an asymmetric carbon atom; A is a phenyl group which may be substituted or a benzyl group which may be substituted). A diastereomer salt represented by general formula (3) (wherein, R1, R2, R3, A and * have the same meanings as the above) is crystallized and precipitated therefrom, and the diastereomer salt is separated. The resultant salt is treated with an acid or a base to provide the optically active 1-phenylethylamines in the method for producing the optically active 1-phenylethylamines.
