To provide practical production methods for optically active primary and secondary amine compounds that are wide in the application range of substrates and excellent in reaction operativity.SOLUTION: The present invention discloses methods for producing optically active primary and secondary amine compounds by combining the diastereoselective or enantioselective reductive amination reaction of a carbonyl compound by an organic iridium complex catalyst with a specific amino alcohol as an amine source and the oxidative deprotection reaction.SELECTED DRAWING: None
