Abstract:

To provide a method for producing an optically active 3-aminopiperidine derivative important as the raw material for medicine using inexpensive, easily obtainable raw material by an industrially suitable method.

The method for producing optically active 3-aminopiperidine expressed by general formula (* denotes that the carbon atom is the center of optical activity), includes a process of producing an optically active nipecotic acid derivative by optically resolving the racemic mixture of a nipecotic acid derivative in a water-containing solvent using an optically active 1-phenylethylamine as an optically resolving agent.
