Abstract:
To provide a method for producing an optically active trifluoromethylcyclopropane compound without using isolated trifluoromethyldiazomethane the handling of which is required to be cautious.
This method for producing the optically active trifluoromethylcyclopropane compound represented by formula (2) includes a step for mixing an olefin compound represented by formula (1), 2,2,2-trifluoroethylamine or a salt thereof, and a nitrite in the presence of an optically active cobalt complex.
