Abstract:
To provide a method for industrially safely producing an oxetane derivative in a high yield.
This method comprises reacting an oxirane compound with the hydroxy or mercapto group of an oxetane compound having such a group in an aqueous solution or suspension of an alkaline metal compound in the presence of a phase-transfer catalyst to obtain the oxetane derivative having an ether or sulfide bond on its side chain.
