To provide an industrially advantageous method for producing an oxetane ether compound, comprising the hydrogen halide-removing etherification reaction of a halogen compound with an alcohol compound, by which the oxetane ether compound can be synthesized in a good yield.

The method for producing the oxetane ether compound comprises the hydrogen halide-removing etherification reaction of the halogen compound [for example, a compound of formula (1) (R1 is H or a 1 to 8C linear or branched alkyl)] with the alcohol compound [for example, a compound of formula (3): R2OH (3) (R2 is a 1 to 20C linear or branched alkyl or an aryl)] in the presence of an alkali and a polyalkyl ether compound. Thereby, the oxetane other compound can be obtained in a good yield.
