Abstract:
To provide a method for continuously producing at a high yield an oxymethylene copolymer having a high polymerization degree and excellent thermal stability.
The method for producing oxymethylene copolymer comprises using one or more of serially connected self-cleaning type reactors having a scraping mechanism scraping reaction products each other, and copolymerizing 4-50 pts.wt. comonomer with 100 pts.wt. trioxane to continuously produce the oxymethylene copolymer, wherein the rotation speed of the agitating shaft of the first reactor is ≥35 m/min as the rotational peripheral speed of puddle tips.
