Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING PATTERNED KNIT FABRIC AND WARP KNITTING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2702100
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a warp knitting machine having a simple structure and capable of forming a patterned part separated by a region free from pattern thread while saving the installation space and reducing the consumption of pattern thread.
SOLUTION: This warp knitting machine has a row of needle bar 1, one or more fabric ground guide bars 3, 3a for knitting a fabric ground, one or more pattern guide bars 6 carrying a guide needle 7 for pattern thread and a knock-over device 9 through which the knit fabric 12 is pulled out. The pattern thread 8 is grasped by a grasping device 16 and firmly held between the pattern thread guide needle 7 and the knock-over device 9. The grasped pattern thread 8 is cut with a cutting device 13 near the knock-over device 9. The cut pattern thread is removed from the knitting process in some case and knit again into the fabric ground. It is cut again with the cutting device 13 near the knock-over device 9 after the formation of a new stitch and finally the remaining pattern thread is released.
