Abstract:
To produce a new phenylalanine derivative having excellent inhibitory effects on α4 integrin-mediated cell adhesion or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
The method for producing the phenylalanine derivative represented by formula (I) [wherein Q is CH2 or the like; Y is a lower alkyl or CO2; R is a protected carboxyl group] comprises condensing a compound represented by formula (IV) with a compound represented by formula (III) (X1 and X2 are each a halogen atom) and then eliminating a protective group.
