Abstract:
To produce a photocatalyst which can be held stably in a particulate state even when it is pulverized and can develop a quantum size effect and a method for decomposing harmful substances using the photocatalyst.
When TiO2 is produced by hydrolyzing a titanium alkoxide as a TiO2 raw material, after the hydrolysis, the product is subjected to acid treatment or alkali treatment to form a TiO2 precursor, and TiO2 is pulverized.
