Abstract:
To provide a method for producing the polycarbonate resin pellet with less generation of fine powder.SOLUTION: The method for producing the polycarbonate resin pellet comprises cutting a resin strand made of a polycarbonate resin having a viscosity average molecular weight of 10,000 to 15,500 with a strand cutter having a take-off roll, a stationary knife and a rotary knife, wherein a strand take-off speed is 30 to 80 m/min, a take-up roll holding pressure is 0.04 to 0.7 MPa, a temperature of a strand before cutting is 75 to 105°C, and a clearance between the stationary knife and the rotary knife is between 0.04 to 0.08 mm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
